Alterations

Bridal alterations are what make your perfect dress your perfect dress. Here at Brandy Design Studio, we solely focus on wedding gowns, bridal separates, and of course rehearsal and receptions looks. We also love to make custom changes to your look such as- adding removable sleeves, slits, neckline adjustments, and overall design changes. Standard bridal alterations start at $350, and a minimum of 6 weeks is needed for completion.

Bridal salons I work with include: Amour Bridal, Lovely Bride (Houston and Dallas locations) A & Be Bridal Austin, Kleinfeld Bridal New York, Pronovias Bridal in Austin, Anthro Weddings, Bestow Bridal, Wildflower Bridal Studio. I am the KHYA Studios recommended seamstress in Texas, and the Berta Bridal Texas recommended seamstress.

How it works

Here at Brandy Design Studio simplicity is where it's at. I like to tell my brides that 95% of the time you will come in a total of 2 times for standard alterations, but I alway ensure there is time for a third just in case.

Send me an email to brandydesignstudio@gmail.com once you purchase the dress- it's never too early! During this time I will give you a full quote for everything you might need. This helps you have one less trip to see me, and ensures there's no surprises once you come in. Wedding planning is time consuming, and I want to be sure you're not wasting any time!

Step 1

After you receive your quote, you will receive a copy of my contract, and I will send over my open dates and times. I currently take appointments Monday and Wed-Friday 9am-6pm as well as Saturday and Sunday from 10am-1pm.

Step 2

Come in for your first fitting- don't forget your shoes, and any undergarments you might wear the day of. During your first fitting the fun begins. I will pin up and mark your dress, answer any and every question you might have, and we will plan when you will come back in to have it all checked and finalized. After the first fitting you will know if you will pick up next time, or if you will need a 3rd fitting.

Step 3

After the fitting (or fittings!) have been completed, you will come in to pick up your dress. Be sure and bring your shoes, any jewelry, your veil or anything that will further help you get the big picture. I am always sure to leave a full hour for the pick up appointment just in case any last minute tweaks need to be made.
